Myth or curiosity, the Eroscillator 2 has been talked about for a long time. Its standout feature, aside from its somewhat unusual look? This sex toy swaps classic vibrations for a unique oscillating technology. I’d never had the chance to get my hands on this legendary device though… Until very recently. The brand agreed to send me an Eroscillator 2 Top Deluxe with G-Point, in other words the most complete kit with 7 interchangeable attachments, which I was delighted to discover.
This toy was created in Switzerland in 1996, at a time when conversations around sex toys were still fairly hushed and often confined to discreet circles. On its official website, the brand highlights its link with Dr Ruth, a name which, to be honest, didn’t mean much to me before I dug into the history of this device.
Dr Ruth Westheimer was an American sex therapist who was hugely well known in the 80s and 90s, with radio shows such as “Sexually Speaking” and TV appearances that helped normalise female pleasure without taboo. She recommended the Eroscillator 2 as a valuable tool for boosting one’s sex life, presenting it as a therapeutic aid against stress and orgasmic blocks. At a time when society still struggled to normalise these topics, this oscillating vibrator arrived with an expert’s seal of approval.
I finally have the chance to see whether this classic still holds up today.
Packaging
The Eroscillator 2 Top Deluxe comes in a small cardboard box.
Inside, you’ll find the sex toy, its seven attachments in individual bags, its power cable, a plug adaptor, and a plastic storage pouch.
As a bonus, there’s a little vintage treasure: a user guide written with all the kindness of the famous Dr Ruth. This little booklet, titled “A primer on self pleasuring”, adds a very welcome touch of wisdom and nostalgia. While the recommendations to bring out the satin sheets, candles, some chocolate and a glass of wine are unmistakably 90s, the core message hasn’t aged a day. Before diving into anatomical details, Dr Ruth insists on the essential point: the importance of creating a bubble of relaxation and giving yourself a genuine moment of your own to get in the mood.
The look of the Eroscillator 2 Top Deluxe
Visually, the Eroscillator has a vintage sci-fi side to it that makes me smile. Its ridged brown plastic body with metallic highlights reminds me of a Dalek, those odd alien-robots with the air of kitchen utensils from Doctor Who. It’s kitschy, almost retrofuturistic, with an elongated shape that brings to mind an oversized electric toothbrush.
Do you also think it bears a strange resemblance to an electric toothbrush? Plot twist: the creator of the Eroscillator, a Swiss dentist named Philippe-Guy Woog, is none other than the inventor of the very first electric toothbrush. Bet you didn’t see that coming. Neither did I. I stumbled across this information by chance and at first thought it was a hoax or an internet urban legend. But then I noticed that the company name shown on the Eroscillator brand’s website was the same as on the Broxo brand’s site, associated with the Broxodent, the first electric toothbrush, marketed by Dr Woog in 1954.

The attachments add to this strange vibe: from the “Ultra Soft Finger Tip” fitted with a soft white bulb, to the “French Legionnaire’s Moustache” with its odd bristles, via the “Grapes and Cockscomb”. It’s certainly not the most beautiful sex toy on the market, but this old-school look has its charm.
Texture and materials
The Eroscillator’s attachments are made of TPR, with a section of silicone elastomer for the “finger”, and nylon bristles for the “moustache” attachment. These materials are non-toxic, but the elastomer remains porous, so cleaning needs to be thorough. The TPR is soft and fairly firm, while the elastomer is squishier.
Powering the Eroscillator 2
The Eroscillator 2 is corded. It plugs into the mains via a 3.6-metre cable, which gives quite a lot of freedom of movement, even if it does mean staying near a socket. This cable connects to the toy via a power port at the base of the handle; during use, you still need to be careful not to pull too hard on the cord, or you’ll unplug it.
There’s no rechargeable option here, which limits the possible contexts in which you can use it, but for at-home sessions, it’s rock solid.
Controls and modes
The controls are minimal: a sliding switch on the handle to move between three intensity levels. It’s simple, intuitive, and when you’re caught up in the moment and don’t want to fiddle with buttons, it does the job very well.
Using the Eroscillator 2 Top Deluxe
At the heart of how the Eroscillator 2 works is an axial oscillation motor.
Its rapid side-to-side movement is comparable to that of an electric toothbrush. However, where a modern toothbrush can rev up to 6,000 cycles per minute, the Eroscillator relies on a more measured axial oscillation. It beats between 3,600 and 7,200 times per minute (60 to 120 Hz), a frequency close to that of the legendary Magic Wand (around 3,000 to 6,000 cycles).
These oscillations help avoid the numbing effect that classic vibrations can sometimes cause during longer sessions, offering deep sensations without overwhelming the nerves too quickly.
The device is fairly quiet, with a slight hum in the air that fades once applied to the skin.
The seven interchangeable attachments broaden the possibilities: from the “Finger” for targeted clitoral caresses, to the “Grapes” or the “Spoon” for playful textures, via the “Ball & Cup” which envelops, the “Legionnaire’s Moustache” for an original touch, and insertable options like the “G-Point” or the “7 Pearls of the Orient”.
The attachments simply clip onto a metal shaft, located inside an opening at the tip of the Eroscillator 2’s body.
“Ultra Soft Finger Tip” attachment
I first tried the “Ultra Soft Finger Tip” attachment, an appendage with a soft area that looks like a round marshmallow.
At the lowest power level, the oscillation is subtle, like a gradual brush that awakens the clitoris without being too abrupt. Turned all the way up, it becomes precise and relentless, leading to an orgasm that builds in fluid waves.
“Golden Spoon” attachment
Next came the “Golden Spoon” with its concave side and its side textured with tiny droplets.
The concave side cups the clitoris like a little bowl, concentrating the oscillation for an enveloping, intense sensation. I tried the flat side for a more diffuse kind of stimulation, and it creates a delicious friction that stimulates the labia as well as the centre. It’s versatile, and it took me to a quick but satisfying peak, with a depth that lingers afterwards.
“Grapes and Cockscomb” attachment
The “Grapes and Cockscomb” is double-sided, with little spheres on one side for the effect of multiple micro-massages, and rigid ridges on the other for localised pressure.

The “grapes” are pleasantly ticklish, ideal for mixing things up by alternating with other attachments. The orgasms that result feel deep, like a wave running through the whole body. The cockscomb is more intense, almost abrasive if you press too hard.
“Ball and Cup” attachment
As for the “Ball and Cup” attachment, it’s a little cup that encloses the clitoris, a bit like an air-pulse stimulator but with oscillation instead.
The effect is concentrated and powerful, especially on max, where it brings on lightning-fast orgasms with no effort. I found it formidable for quick sessions, because the oscillation inside this enclosed space amplifies everything, without the air suction of other toys. It became a favourite for its sheer efficiency.
“French Legionnaire’s Moustache” attachment
The “French Legionnaire’s Moustache” is the weirdest attachment, with two tufts of soft bristles perpendicular to the axis, one on each side of the centre.

The nylon bristles tickle the vulva while the middle targets the clitoris. The idea is interesting, and I think some people may well enjoy the sensations it creates, but for me, those tickles tended more to distract me and keep me from focusing on the clitoral stimulation than to really send me soaring.
“G-Point” attachment
On the insertable side, the “G-Point” attachment is slim and curved to target the internal area.
The oscillation feels like a rhythmic massage that presses without vibrating wildly, which is pleasant for combined external-internal stimulation.
“Seven Pearls of the Orient” attachment
Finally, the “Seven Pearls of the Orient”, with their aligned beads for textured penetration, are designed for internal stimulation, vaginal or anal.

The oscillation makes the beads roll against the walls, creating a unique friction that stimulates precise spots. I enjoyed it for varied play, even if the oscillation loses a little strength internally compared with external use.
Conclusion on the Eroscillator 2 Top Deluxe
The Eroscillator 2 Top Deluxe proves that “old-school” mechanics still have plenty to teach us. Its axial oscillation delivers deep, lingering pleasure while preserving sensitivity even over time.
Between the gentle precision of the “Finger” attachment and the targeted intensity of the “Ball and Cup”, the sensations are as varied as they are convincing. The Eroscillator 2 is a safe investment for those who value substance over design. If you’re looking for a reliable toy that goes off the beaten path, it’s clearly worth a look despite its slightly offbeat appearance. It’s the kind of tool that puts exploration back at the centre of play, allowing you to discover new facets of pleasure. A toy focused on pure sensation, ideal for varying your experiences with ease.
