In this article, I’m going to talk to you about a wooden anal whip-dildo, from the brand Nobessence.
The Incite is a whip fitted with long leather strips. Its handle, made of perfectly smooth wood, strikingly resembles the shape of an anal plug… and this is no coincidence. Indeed, its handle doubles as a dildo, intended for anal penetration.

Sex toy packaging
The packaging of the Nobessence Incite is very basic. Unlike other sex toys by Nobessence, which come in a rather well-made thick cardboard box, it is simply wrapped in paper.
Appearance and dimensions of the whip-dildo
The Nobessence Incite is a whip-dildo (a whip on one side, a small dildo on the other) with rather imposing dimensions. Its handle is 21 centimetres long, and its strips 47 cm. I had imagined it to be smaller.
The whip’s strips, made of leather, are long and numerous. I counted 24 on the Incite we received. I don’t know whether this number varies or is constant from one model to another.
As well as giving the object a striking appearance (for example, whips with three short hairs that people chase after and that are often found in beginner BDSM accessory kits are not very convincing), they give it a certain weight, and good balance.
There is a recess in the wood where they are attached, which means you can barely see the glue. The joint is very well made and appears solid.
The shape of the end of its handle somewhat evokes that of the Romp anal plug, from the same brand. It appears to have been designed to be inserted. This shape also allows a good grip, by keeping the “plug” part in the palm while pressing the thumb into the curve of the sex toy.
Materials
The handle is made of wood. The Nobessence Incite is available in several versions, made from different woods:
- Wenge (African palisander), chocolate brown,
- Bamboo, very light,
- Iron Wood, coppery.
The model we received is made of bamboo. The wood surface is perfectly smooth and soft. It is coated with a glossy, non-toxic varnish that makes the object’s handle water-resistant.
The strips are made of leather, so it will not suit vegans.
The wooden part is odourless, but the strips smell of fresh leather, like a new jacket. Apparently many people like this smell, but for my part, I don’t find it very pleasant.
Using the Nobessence Incite as a whip
You need to be careful with the Nobessence Incite whip. If you go gently, you can caress, tickle or lightly strike. But if you let the strips build up momentum, it can hurt. It “cracks” for a moment, causing a fairly sharp pain that fades quickly.
For our taste, this is ideal, as the aim for us in a BDSM session is not to have “reminder irritations” on the skin several hours later. But those who prefer spankings that leave marks will not get the desired effect.
Whatever the sensation you are looking for, it is better to first test the device on yourself, in order to know how to correctly gauge your movement and aim well. Even in the case of a clumsy blow, I don’t think there is really any risk of serious injury with this whip. A slap with its strips hurts less than a slap at the same speed with the hand.
There is no need, however, to have been a fervent BDSM devotee for three decades to learn how to handle the Incite. Some whips require a lot of technique and training, but a little finesse (and a few minutes of self-flagellation, even if it’s kitsch…) is enough to tame the Nobessence one, which remains fairly soft.
The whip has good balance. Once you have understood how to master it, it no longer throws tantrums. You can then manage its trajectory and the speed at which it comes to strike without difficulty.
Using the Nobessence Incite as an anal plug
The shape of the end of the Nobessence Incite handle brings to mind the insertable part of the Romp anal plug, from the same brand. This handle, completely smooth, is coated with a non-toxic varnish. Let’s have a look at the official description of the object: it specifies that it is indeed designed for insertion. Phew: I would have been disappointed if it had been otherwise.
The insertable part runs from the end of the handle to the middle of the central section curved into a “V” shape, which therefore makes it 11 centimetres long. Its diameter varies between 1 centimetre and 4 centimetres depending on the area where you measure it.
As an anal sex toy, it is still fairly large, without being excessive either. We have never had the Romp in our hands, but according to its specifications, their dimensions must be equivalent.
After a few attempts, to me, the Nobessence Incite seems rather designed to be worn in a “static” manner, without any back-and-forth movement: for example, on all fours, as a “tail”.
When it comes to the bottom, it is comfortable, but as for the posture, it is fairly cumbersome: a good length of the handle remains outside the anus, and then there are the strips. Worn like a plug, the Incite hinders movements, and (when worn by a woman) prevents vaginal penetration. But this constraint is not really in the way because, by helping to immobilise the person wearing it, it fits quite well into a BDSM context.

Conclusion on the Nobessence Incite whip-dildo
The good points:
- The Nobessence Incite is very pretty, and shows excellent workmanship.
- It is a very cool whip: it is well balanced, and can crack hard without injuring.
- It is a very cool anal dildo, particularly pleasant to use in a BDSM context.
The bad points:
- Its price is high: 220 euros.
I really like the Nobessence Incite. An anal sex toy and a whip combined in the same object, it is a very pretty, original accessory, which is perfectly suited to use in a BDSM context.
The only (and unique) drawback, its price: more than 200 euros, that is still quite a hefty sex toy investment… But on the other hand, its quality is excellent, it seems very sturdy, and you can therefore expect to keep it for a long time.
It perfectly fulfils both of its functions: as a whip, it has good balance and leaves no marks, and as a dildo, it inserts comfortably into the anus, while imposing a constraint on the posture of the person wearing it, and, for the other person, an unusual but aesthetic view.
