Test of Lux Fetish Japanese breast clamps

le

Choosing breast clamps is no easy affair. Sometimes they pinch too much, sometimes they don’t pinch enough, sometimes they don’t stay put… And it’s not as if you could try them before buying. I fancied testing a type of nipple clamp I hadn’t come across yet: Japanese breast clamps, clamps a little bulkier than the others.

Japanese breast clamps

We already had two other pairs of breast clamps (photos there and there on the exhibition forum).

The first, which we have had for a very long time, is a chain clamp “classic”. The second, a Pipedream brand accessory bought in a sex shop round the corner, stays in place thanks to magnets, which gives it a really nice look, but it has a nasty habit of slipping all on its own, and pinching a tiny scrap of skin.

Here is the test of the Lux Fetish Japanese breast clamps.

Packaging

The packaging is very basic, and disposable: a plastic wrapper, with, inside, a photo of a lady in underwear printed on thin card, which is visible through it.

But let’s not dwell on the box. It’s the clamps that interest us.

Appearance of the Japanese breast clamps and first impressions

The Japanese breast clamps, in silver metal, are fitted with a mechanism slightly more complex than classic clamps. When you press on both ends of one of the clamps to open it, a rod, oriented along the object’s central axis, slides simultaneously.

The mechanism’s very specific look gives Japanese clamps various other English names as well: “clover clamps” (clover-shaped clamps) or “butterfly clamps” (butterfly-shaped clamps). Francophones, for their part, only stick with the presumed historical origin of these clamps.

The Lux Fetish Japanese clamps are very light… I expected to be holding a slightly heavier object. The good point about that is that the weight of the clamps does not pull the breasts down, so it is more aesthetic… The bad point is that, the metal being very thin, it feels a bit “cheap”.

Rubber grips cover the parts in contact with the skin, to cushion the pinching and, thus, avoid leaving marks.

Using the Japanese breast clamps

The Lux Fetish Japanese breast clamps pinch quite hard. That is, in fact, a typical characteristic of Japanese clamps.

The pain remains quite bearable… During a BDSM session, in the excitement of the moment, the sensation caused by the pinching is pleasant, but if you put the clamps on “cold”, just to try them out, ouch… it makes you wince.

It pinches…

Clamps of this type are also reputed to be much less likely to slip than other models.

This is also the case. They stay in place better than our two other pairs of breast clamps.

And finally, last characteristic: these clamps are supposed to pinch more if you exert a pull on them, thanks to the clover / butterfly-shaped mechanism.

Well, it’s true that if you pull on the chain while it pinches the breasts, it hurts more, but is it the pinching that increases?

The breast clamps in action

We weren’t really sure which breast to devote to figuring this out. Being a bit squeamish nevertheless, wearing the clamps is fine, and getting to pull on them in the heat of the action is acceptable, but out of context, while concentrating to try to find out precisely in what way it hurts, ouch… impossible.

In order to put an end to this laborious attempt at measuring, we preferred to exercise our sadistic urges on… a ball of Patafix, an object whose consistency comes very, very vaguely close to that of a nipple, in order to observe the workings of the gadget up close. Result: indeed, pulling on the chain seems to increase the pressure, but in a very slight way.

It is also worth noting that the rings connecting the chain to the clamps are not very thick, they do not look ultra-strong.

Conclusion on the Lux Fetish Japanese breast clamps

The good points:

  • The Lux Fetish Japanese breast clamps stay well in place, they do not attempt to run off as soon as they have been put on.
  • Their price is very low (less than 14 euros).
  • Their lightness prevents them from pulling the boobs down, as heavier clamps do.

The bad points:

  • The very thin metal feels a bit “cheap”, and the rings connecting the clamps to the chain seem fragile.

Japanese breast clamps

In brief: the Lux Fetish Japanese breast clamps, although they are quite inexpensive accessories, fully fulfil their purpose: they stay well in place, and they pinch… rather hard… To my taste, it is not too hard, if the context and the excitement are right. But they may not suit people with very sensitive nipples.
