This is the review of the JimmyJane Hello Touch, a vibrator worn on the fingertips. And one that gives you a (slightly) cyborg look.
Using a sex toy during sex between two people introduces an external object into the interaction. This object influences the movements made and becomes, in a way, a third “actor” on the scene.
Its presence encourages you to improvise new configurations, new positions, which can be a plus…. Or not: it depends on tastes, and it is not necessarily an obvious thing for everyone. Hence the desire for a sex toy that you could perceive as an extension of the body, the genitals, the fingers…
For the genitals, there are “strapless girdle dildos” such as the the Feeldoe by Tantus or the Share by Fun Factory. And for the fingers, JimmyJane invented the Hello Touch.
Hello Touch packaging
The Hello Touch comes in a small square box, illustrated with a photo of a hand wearing the sex toy.
On this packaging, a quote from the Gizmodo website is highlighted: “Hello Touch may be the best sex toy ever invented” (“The Hello Touch might be the best sex toy ever invented”).
That surprised me a little… In general, when a sex toy brand quotes the compliments it has received from the press, it does not go so far as printing them in large type on its product boxes. And the references tend to come from sex-focused websites or women’s magazines, whereas here it is a general-audience website oriented towards new technologies. That says a lot about the way in which the JimmyJane brand seems to want to present the gadget.
The sex toy
Appearance: the Hello Touch, a finger vibrator
The JimmyJane Hello Touch is a strange sex toy. If someone sees it sitting on your bedside table, they will very likely ask themselves questions, admittedly, but at first glance, you think more of a medical device than a sex toy.
Headphones plugged into a blood pressure monitor? No, a vibrator !
(With the Womanizer, which looks like a thermometer, we’re going to end up being seen as medical fetish enthusiasts…)
It consists of a wristband that fastens around the wrist with Velcro and contains a small box, and two “finger vibrators”, connected to the box by a cable. The wristband bears a strange resemblance to that of a blood pressure monitor, and the cable and finger vibrators as a whole resemble a pair of headphones.
The whole thing is white and grey, very minimalist, and you think of a certain brand with an apple-shaped logo.
Texture and materials
Doubting the “silicone” indication as to the composition of this sex toy (the finger tips are translucent and soft, which is uncommon for silicone), the members of the Dildology project had a Hello Touch analysed. Result: even though it does not look like silicone, it really is pure silicone (polydimethylsiloxane, to be exact).
The surface of these tips is soft, you could almost think it was skin.
As for the wristband, it is made of fairly stretchy fabric, in the “sportswear” style.
Power
The JimmyJane Hello Touch runs on two AAAA batteries, very small cylindrical batteries. You can buy them in a supermarket, but you can’t be sure you can find them in a rechargeable version.
These batteries go into a compartment, located in the box.

The “finger vibrators” are waterproof and can therefore be used for both internal and external stimulation.
Hello Touch controls
The Hello Touch controls are located on the box.
Through the fabric of the wristband, it is quite difficult to press the button (you have to press hard and aim carefully), which is a bit annoying, but once the vibrator is switched on, you shouldn’t really need to change modes much.
Using the vibrator
Once the wristband is attached to the wrist, the vibrating tips fasten onto two fingers – the index and middle finger, generally – with their vibrating part on the side of the fingertip, so that they are in direct contact with the area being caressed.
First observation: it squeezes quite a lot, or rather it squashes the fingertips a little.
My cyborg hand with the Hello Touch
Well, in defence of the gadget, having been doing DIY (and nail clipping, too) lately, I have my paws a bit battered and very sensitive. But still, given that these tips cut my circulation a little, I don’t dare imagine what it would be like if someone with big hands were wearing them…
For vaginal or clitoral stimulation, I always used the Hello Touch with lubricant. Indeed, the tips are soft, but they don’t slide on their own.
If you look at the photo on the left a little more closely, you can admire the beautiful purple hue of my extremities, proof that it squeezes. No, I haven’t turned into a zombie.
The main benefit of the Hello Touch is that it lets you use your fingers in almost the same way you would without a vibrator, intuitively.
Contrary to what I feared about the small size of the finger vibrators, the vibrations seem relatively strong. They are not of monumental power, but being able to handle the two vibrators with precision, “on the fingertips”, makes them damn effective, especially for clitoral stimulation.
The Hello Touch is also interesting for less targeted caresses for two, on any part of the body. It adds vibrations without interfering with the hand’s “natural” movement.

Conclusion on the JimmyJane Hello Touch
The good points:
- The JimmyJane Hello Touch is extremely intuitive: unlike other vibrators, no need to adapt your movements to its presence, it naturally fits into caresses: when you wear it, you masturbate (or masturbate the other person) “normally”, with your fingers.
- It is effective, and allows me to reach orgasm quite quickly.
- Its understated appearance sets it apart from ordinary sex toys.
The bad points:
- AAAA batteries: to begin with, the Hello Touch is not rechargeable, which is a bad point in itself, and you have to find “rare” batteries for it. (Note: the new version of the gadget, which has just come out, is rechargeable).
- The controls are a bit hard to operate.
- The vibrators’ “elastics” tend to squeeze the fingers.
Note finale du test
Les plus
- Original
- Extremely intuitive to use
- Effective
Les moins
- Uses uncommon batteries
- Squeezes the fingers
- Controls are a bit fiddly
I really like the concept of the JimmyJane Hello Touch, even if a few points still need improving. It is an original vibrator, an excellent sex toy for people who want to keep using their ten fingers while using a vibrator, solo or with a partner.
