VRTube has also created the first real-time VR porn video game, and has just launched the first service for sexy shows via an interactive camera, streaming live 3D content that can be viewed with an Oculus Rift.

How to film a camgirl in virtual reality?
Reading the interview, we learn that, to film VR porn, VRTube uses Microsoft’s Kinect, which makes it possible to reconstruct a 3D view referencing the position of a point cloud in space. However, the Kinect cannot stream videos in real time. People are trying to develop software that could make this possible, but it is not quite there yet.
VRTube’s live 3D webcam is an assembly of various products available on the market, sensors, and software. It was Ela’s business partner, a young genius she met through Reddit, who developed them.
The camgirl is filmed in front of a green screen, and a virtual set is overlaid in the background. The result is not really a hologram, but it creates a fairly similar experience.
VRTube’s VR webcam shows
VRTube is planning a VR webcam show, viewable on Oculus Rift using its software, every week. The first ten minutes of the show are free, then, to see the rest, you will have to spend 40 credits. So that’s around ten dollars if you buy credits in lots of forty, but prices are lower if you buy more. As with other sexy cam platforms, it is also possible to give credits to the performers as tips.
