After numerous, more or less unsuccessful, attempts to find a lubricant that suits us, we finally tested what is often presented, rightly or wrongly, as a benchmark in the X-rated world: the Lubrifist.
Our criteria for choosing a lubricant were as follows: a non-greasy product, water-based if possible, with the most practical packaging possible, and of course, one that works…
Here is the Lubrifist lubricant test.
Introduction to the Lubrifist
The lubricant is delivered packed in a cardboard box.
After unboxing, it comes in the form of a 200-millilitre jar.
Composition of the Lubrifist lubricant
The Lubrifist is made in France, by Cosminter Laboratoire Polydermyl.
Below is its composition. (I love the fourth ingredient, it would be a hit at the French Baccalauréat… :-) )
Admittedly, it doesn’t seem to be organic, or “cruelty free” (a shame), but it’s on an “Aqua” base, so no risk to our sextoys.
Appearance and texture of the Lubrifist
The lubricant has a velvety and smooth appearance, but it is sufficiently thick to stay on a finger.
It doesn’t give off any particular smell and the taste is rather bland. (You have to sacrifice yourself for science, from time to time… :-) )
Using the Lubrifist
We’re finally here. As I mentioned in the introduction (no pun intended, okay? :-), among the retained criteria are practicality and effectiveness.
Practicality
As for practicality, I find the jar packaging hyper practical, and much better value.
You just have to place your open jar nearby… And there you go, you dip into it, or better still, dip the end of the toy in the jar.
Which, when using certain toys that are sensitive to lubricants (such as the Cobra Libre, for example), prevents you from ending up with lubricant on your fingers and therefore on the control interfaces… This is the first advantage…
Then, in the thick of action, when you need a little lubricant, the jar packaging avoids having to press a bottle that dispenses, when it feels like it, the long-awaited dose. Here, one finger is enough. In short, it’s practical.
Besides, you can finish a jar down to the last drop. There is very little waste, compared with a bottle.
Lubrication effectiveness
Effectiveness as a lubricant is surely the minimum one expects from this product, isn’t it?
And there, I pull out a photo of the box:
It’s all there, isn’t it? “LubriFIST is a lubricant specifically designed for intense dilation without pain”. I think that’s sufficiently explicit…
Everything that fist devotees need is hidden in the innards of this jar. (It’s the sliding paradise :-) ).
And, when it comes to sliding… well, it slides really well.
To give an idea, the equivalent of a dose the size of a pinky fingernail on the tip of a Lelo Billy is more than enough for anal penetration, with no preparation whatsoever… Our Billy… reincarnated as a suppository! :-).
Conclusion about the Lubrifist
So, obviously, when judging a product that you use yourself with full satisfaction, the opinion can only be subjective. Everyone will therefore have to form their own assessment, according to their needs…
Do I recommend it? Well, to tell you the truth, I haven’t (yet) found an equivalent in the mass market.
The price: budget around 30 euros for three 200-millilitre jars online… And believe me, it’ll last a while! (unless you cook with it :-) )
