The black handle is made of plastic. On the handle side, a small metal chain allows the feather duster to be hung. On the opposite end, the very soft feathers are kept in place by a supple leather cap, which looks superb.
The whole thing looks quite fragile, but for the delicate use it is intended for, that is more than enough.
