The Star Lust Lovehoney dildo, made of translucent silicone embedded with tiny purple stars, is absolutely adorable. Standing on its matching-colour suction-cup base, it was eyeing me. I immediately really wanted to try it out.

The Star Lust dildo is translucent, almost transparent. Inside, tiny purple stars appear to be floating. But when you look a bit closer, you can see they’re embedded in the silicone and perfectly still. As for the base of the sextoy, it’s a rounded pink suction cup, rather chunky. A small appendage sticks out: pulling on it allows you to release the suction (which can prove difficult without this trick). This sextoy is phallic in shape, slightly angled, with a rather pronounced head. It measures 18 centimetres, which would be a rather long willy, but its diameter remains quite slim, around 3.5 centimetres.
Texture and materials
Like the Heart Pounder, from the same brand, the Star Lust is made of pure silicone, smooth and flexible, yet still rather firm.
The Star Lust’s suction cup
The Star Lust’s suction cup base has excellent grip, in all configurations, standing or horizontal, provided you press its base firmly against a smooth surface. To the point that you might struggle to peel it off! Fortunately, pulling on the small rectangular tab on the base of the dildo allows air to get underneath, and thus detach it.
The Star Lust’s effectiveness
The Star Lust is fully compatible with anal penetration, thanks to its wide, flat base which prevents it from going too far. But it also proves very effective for vaginal penetration, and you can also wear it in a harness. With its fairly slim diameter, penetration is gentle, with the help of a little lubricant if needed. Its glans and its angle allow it to effectively stimulate the G-spot.
Conclusion on the Star Lust Lovehoney dildo
The pros:
