We’ve received the Fleshlight Katsuni masturbator.
I’d already had the chance to test a rather particular Fleshlight: the Alien, a hyperspace pussy from the Freaks series, supposed to represent the sex of an extraterrestrial lady – and more precisely, very much inspired by the film Avatar (which I still haven’t seen, incidentally). In short: a blue tri-clit pussy, humanoid alien style.
The Fleshlight Katsuni, from the Fleshlight Girls series, has a much more concrete design. It represents the vagina of the famous porn star Katsuni. It’s probably something fantastic for Katsuni fans. But in practice, as far as I’m concerned, I can’t recognise a porn actress by the shape of her pussy.
So what interests me is rather the fact that this sextoy aims to resemble, both in look and in sensations, the sex of a real woman – to be “realistic”, what have you. We’ll see if it pulls it off!
Here’s my review of the Fleshlight Katsuni.
Sextoy packaging
Like the Alien, the sextoys in the Fleshlight Girls range are packaged in a cardboard box, disposable. It’s not a big deal, as their thick rigid exterior also serves as storage in a very satisfactory way. Handy.
A case would, of course, be welcome for discretion (the thing being rather well-known after all) – the excuse “but come on, it’s just a torch” has little chance of working. But that detail aside, the Fleshlight is relatively self-sufficient in terms of storage.
The look of the Fleshlight Katsuni
The Fleshlight lives up to its name. From the outside, it looks (vaguely) like a torch (“flashlight” in American English) and once the lid is removed, it looks like flesh (“flesh”) – or, more precisely, like a monochrome vulva in a beige-flesh colour.
Unboxing the Fleshlight Katsuni
Comparison photos between the Fleshlights and the pussies of the stars who served as models (including Katsuni) can be viewed on the brand’s official blog. Well, of course, it’s not identical, but you can see it’s meant to look similar.
The dimensions are the same as the Fleshlight Alien’s, that is to say, a bit bulky.
It’s a bit bulkier than a Tenga Flip Hole, for example. But it has to be said that apart from Fun Factory’s Cobra Libre and the Tenga Eggs, few male sextoys are designed to be carried around without a fuss.

Texture and materials
The casing is made of plastic, hard and rather sturdy.
Exactly like the Alien, the inside is made of “Superskin”, a flexible material patented by Fleshlight. Unknown composition, no phthalates according to Fleshlight, but it is nonetheless a porous material.
The Fleshlight Girls Katsuni casing, with its lid
If you read the Fleshlight Alien review, you might remember the disconcerting problem of a rather pronounced chemical plastic smell. Well, here, same material… same problem! But not quite as much as with the Fleshlight Alien (which did indeed smell a bit like an alien…). Or perhaps I’m just getting used to it?
In any case, while I preferred to soak it to get rid of its initial bad smell, the problem still manifested in a much less violent way. In short, one thing is certain: “Superskin” is not silicone…
Under the lid, it’s plush
Of course, it’s also a bit of a pain to maintain, but I’ve already detailed all of this in my review of the Fleshlight Alien. In summary, to wash it:
- Remove the insert (the soft, pussy-shaped part) from its torch casing.
- Rinse thoroughly in hot water. Never use soap.
- Let dry in the open air. Preferably on the living room table, to make a good impression on the guests.
The insert is soft and stretchable, in depth as well as on the surface
Using the Fleshlight Katsuni
It wasn’t until I’d soaked it for a few hours in a washbasin to get rid of its sweet petrochemical smell that I decided to use the thing.
Like with the Fleshlight Alien, it’s a nightmare before the first use, but afterwards, if you use it regularly (and wash it each time, of course), you don’t have to go back to the “nasal assault” stage. On the other hand, if you leave it unused for a bit too long, same again… I imagine that dirt must work its way back to the surface of the material over time.
Fleshlight Katsuni and Fleshjack Jason Visconti having a chat: “Oh, you’ve got a star’s signature too?”
As for texture, it’s mega-plush, slightly elastic, and soft.
To the touch, the outside does indeed feel like the outside of a hairless pussy.
Like with the first Fleshlight I tested, if we want to remain 100% objective in describing the sensations, no, it’s clearly not a perfect reproduction of the tactile sensations of a “real” penetration. But in practice, how could it be any other way?
The Katsuni and Jason sextoys doing things together
On the other hand, if I take things from a slightly less twisted angle and appreciate the object for what it is (so a “style” vagina sextoy, and not a substitute for a real vagina), then, just as I was with the Alien, I’m more than satisfied by the sensations it provides. These do indeed strongly resemble a vaginal penetration, in a way I find very successful.
It’s worth noting that lubricant is not optional. A sample is provided, which can come in handy for the first use if you haven’t thought to have some on hand.
The internal texture of the Fleshlight Katsuni, called “lotus”, is different from that of the Alien model. But the sensation is still quite similar. Unlike the Tenga Flip Holes, it seems Fleshlight is more focused on very tight (but very soft/elastic): first, a fairly narrow passage, and then, patterns.

When you look at a diagram, you can see it doesn’t look anything like the inside of a vagina, but to the touch (whether with the penis or with a finger to get a more precise idea), it surprisingly makes you think of it.
Conclusion on the Fleshlight Katsuni
The good points:
- The sensations are up to scratch.
- The tactile and visual “realism” (all proportions considered, it’s still a kind of torch…)
The bad points:
- The smell is rather unpleasant.
- The maintenance is a bit of a pain.
Note finale du test
Les plus
- Very pleasant sensations
- Visual realism
- Tactile realism
Les moins
- Unpleasant smell
- Tedious maintenance
Fleshlights are really brilliant in terms of sensations. Their plush texture is very pleasant. And both in terms of appearance and touch, if you’re looking for a sextoy that makes you think of a female sex, well, it’s a success.
Caveats, however, regarding the choice of material used by Fleshlight: “Superskin” doesn’t smell good and is a pain to maintain.
In short: it’s great in terms of sensations, very “realistic”, but a hassle when it comes to the smell out of the box and cleaning.
