The Mantric by Lovehoney is a rechargeable wand vibrator.
Like the Lelo Smart Wand, which it closely resembles, it’s of course sold as a sex toy, but also for its body massage features. As far as I’m concerned, it’s only the sex toy side that interests me.
So here’s my review of the Mantric wand vibrator.
Sex toy packaging
The Mantric comes in a fairly basic cardboard box. The good side is that this packaging is recyclable; the bad side is that the sex toy comes with no storage pouch.
The Mantric wand vibrator
Curved, in a uniform black, the Mantric wand vibrator has a family resemblance to the Lelo Smart Wand Medium. Its rather modest dimensions are, in fact, almost the same.
One distinguishing detail: on its handle, a large LED indicator constantly changes colour when it’s on.
Texture and material
The Mantric is made of soft silicone. This non-porous material is easy to clean and poses no danger to the body. It is rigid, with a flexible neck.
Power supply
The Mantric wand vibrator is rechargeable. Its charging cable plugs into a USB port, and has a jack-type connector on the sex toy end.
As for charging and usage times, I haven’t timed them, but I haven’t had any battery issues so far.
Controls and modes
The Mantric has seven vibration modes, one constant and six “playful” ones, each coming in six intensity levels.
The controls on the Mantric wand vibrator consist of 3 buttons: a “+”, a “-“, and a central round button.
- The round button is used to turn the sex toy on and off, and to navigate between modes.
- As for the “+” and “-“ buttons, they allow you to adjust the intensity of the vibrations.
The sex toy also has a lock feature. To activate it, simply hold down the round button and “+” or round button and “-” simultaneously for a few seconds, until the sex toy emits two pulses. Do the same to unlock it.
Since you rarely change modes during use, you’ll mostly be using the “+” and “-” buttons. The risk of accidentally killing the mood by pressing the wrong button is therefore quite low. However, between locking, turning on and turning off the sex toy, things get confusing pretty quickly. And it’s consequently fairly common to struggle a bit to get it running or to switch it off.
Effectiveness of the Mantric wand vibrator
The Mantric is rather powerful for a rechargeable wand vibrator.
At maximum intensity, it is distinctly more powerful than the Lelo Smart Wand Medium. Granted, it doesn’t have pressure-sensitive controls like the latter, but although those are a nice detail, in a vibrator, power is the feature that matters most.
And when it comes to power, it comes very close to some of its ultra-powerful corded cousins. Without quite matching the most brute-force of them, like the Europe Magic Wand or the Doxy Massager, but we weren’t expecting that much from it.
In short: it has more than enough to deliver clitoral orgasms on demand and without effort. And its “peach skin” surface is very pleasant to the touch.

Noise level
As for noise level: it’s very reasonable. Granted, you can hear it, but not from the next room.
Conclusion on the Mantric wand vibrator
Good points:
- It’s a powerful and effective vibrator, which delivers orgasms without effort.
- Its soft texture is pleasant. The whole thing is in silicone, a body-safe material.
- Overall, the quality-to-price ratio is quite good: it costs around €70, for a rather well-made sex toy.
Bad points:
- Its controls are a bit complex regarding the distinction between on / off / lock.
- No storage pouch is included.
