The Robbie Big by Malesation is a large silicone dildo with a suction cup.
But its ability to play Spider-Man (or Spider-Dildo?) on the shower walls isn’t its only unusual feature. When you shake it, you can feel something moving inside.
Like a pair of geisha balls or Fun Factory’s Bouncer Shake, this sex toy contains an object that moves when you shake it. The aim, of course, is to give the user more pleasure by adding a little extra bounce during vigorous thrusting. We’ll see during this review whether it works.
Here’s our review of the Malesation Robbie Big dildo.
Sex toy packaging
The Robbie comes in a box that’s half cardboard, half plastic, allowing you to see the sex toy through it. It’s perfectly adequate packaging, but not something you’ll want to keep for long.
If the name hadn’t already given you a clue, the red and black colours of the box, shades often associated with virility, reinforce the idea that this is a sex toy primarily aimed at a male audience. Never mind: I’m sure this dildo doesn’t have any particular preferences and won’t be fussy if I try it out, despite my lack of chin hair.
What the Malesation Robbie Big looks like: a big black dildo
The Robbie Big lives up to its name. It’s a big piece of kit, both long and wide. It’s about twenty centimetres long and four centimetres in diameter.
Its broad, flat base is a suction cup. The Malesation logo is on it: simply the brand name, underlined and enclosed in a border.
The dildo is straight at first, then has an angled bulge, followed by a large oval head, which is also tilted. Unlike its distant cousins from Fun Factory, the Bouncer Shake and the Tiger Stub, its overall shape isn’t curved. Despite the ridges along its length, its shaft is straight and perpendicular to the surface it’s placed on.
Texture and material
The Robbie Big’s entire surface is made of silicone.
When you press it, you can feel that the sex toy is hollow, with something harder inside. You can also feel this contents move when you shake it. However, the movement is nowhere near as elaborate as the dance of the three metal balls inside the Fun Factory Bouncer Shake or a quality pair of geisha balls. In fact, there seems to be only one moving object, and it’s noticeably lighter.
It’s slightly flexible, and in places you can deform the surface a little by pressing on it. But overall, it’s still fairly rigid.
The suction cup on the Malesation Robbie Big dildo
Thanks to its suction cup base, the Malesation Robbie Big stays firmly upright on a smooth surface, and even horizontal, stuck to a tiled wall.
We did a few adhesion tests, just to see how it would do, on the wall of our loo and on a window.
Several hours later, the Robbie was still there, proud, upright and firmly suctioned in place. Well, it did eventually fall off during the night (I didn’t time it; I was asleep). But that leaves more than enough time to have some fun with it before the suction cup gives way. Compared with the other suction-cup dildos we’ve had to hand, this is probably the one that sticks best.
How effective is the Malesation Robbie Big sex toy?
When using it, I appreciated how well the Robbie Big stays upright. I’m not a huge fan of games involving a dildo suctioned to a wall (partly because there aren’t many conveniently placed tiled walls), but set upright on a piece of furniture or a coffee table, it stands on its own and doesn’t budge an inch, even during frenzied thrusting.
You’ll need a good amount of lubricant: first for insertion, then you’ll need to add more little by little. Although its texture is smoother than the Bouncer Shake, its larger dimensions call for plenty of lubrication.
Although I enjoyed using this sex toy, I like it less than the Bouncer Shake. The main reasons are its lack of flexibility, firmer texture and lack of curvature, and the internal balls’ “bounce” leaves a little to be desired.
Conclusion on the Malesation Robbie Big dildo
The good points:
- The Robbie Big’s suction cup has excellent grip.
- It’s made of silicone, a body-safe material.
- It’s a substantial size.
- It’s very reasonably priced (less than 40 euros).
The bad points:
- It lacks flexibility and is a little too firm.
- The moving parts inside have less “bounce” than those in the Fun Factory Bouncer Shake.
Note finale du test
Les plus
- Very good suction-cup grip
- Body-safe material
- Reasonable price
Les moins
- Lack of flexibility
- A bit too firm
The Robbie Big is a very nice suction-cup dildo at a reasonable price.
It’s not my favourite suction-cup dildo, though. Until I’m introduced to a contender who can win me over, the title goes for now to Fun Factory’s Bouncer Shake, with its triangular base, heavy internal balls with an unbeatable bounce, and gentle curve. However, if your main criterion is the grip of the suction cup, if you prefer larger sizes or if you’re on a tight budget, the Malesation Robbie Big is an excellent choice.
