HighOnLove orgasmic gel: cannabis for your clit?

le

The HighOnLove cannabis-based orgasmic gel is a clitoral stimulant, based on cannabis sativa seed oil, i.e. cosmetic hemp.

HighOnLove orgasmic gel

This variety of hemp has no psychotropic effects and is therefore perfectly legal. It’s used, among other things, for its moisturising properties and its scent.

Here’s our review of the HighOnLove orgasmic gel.

Packaging

The bottle, contained in a thin cardboard box, looks rather nice. A metallic pink, it has a push button and a transparent cap of an original shape.

A note on the packaging tells us the product is made in Canada.

Scent

It smells like mint. And it tastes like mint too, with a very faint aftertaste of plants.

Composition of the HighOnLove orgasmic gel

The ingredients list of the HighOnLove orgasmic gel reads:

  • Water.
  • Glycerine: a non-toxic ingredient, but one that can cause infections in people with sensitive vaginal flora, as it’s a sugar derivative that yeast feeds on.
  • Propylene glycol: same deal as with glycerine.
  • Polyquaternium: this rather vague name can refer to various substances, all used in shampoos or conditioners. I did a bit of Googling and didn’t come across anything alarming.
  • L-Arginine HCL: an amino acid, a priori rather good for your health.
  • Hemp seed oil: the cannabis sativa that gives the product its “cannabis-based orgasmic gel” name.
  • Hydroxylated ethylcellulose: a food additive, derived from cellulose.
  • DMDMH: a preservative. Not exactly organic, but this substance is a priori considered safe for use in cosmetics.
  • Sodium benzoate: a food additive. In food, it’s suspected of exacerbating or triggering hyperactivity in children. But you’re an adult, so a priori, it should be fine.
  • Peppermint oil.
  • Capsicum: chilli.
  • Vitamin E.

HighOnLove gel for the clit

Sensations

You mainly feel the characteristic menthol effect: a hot-cold sensation that lingers after use. Most sexual stimulants applied to the clitoris, like Durex’s Play O for example, provide this type of effect.

You might like it: it does effectively sensitise erogenous zones. But as far as I’m concerned, I’m not a fan. The feeling of having a Mentos on your clit, meh, it lacks a bit of subtlety.

Conclusion on the HighOnLove orgasmic gel

The composition of this clitoral stimulant is relatively healthy, provided you’re not sensitive to lubricants containing glycerine. And the stimulating effect is well and truly there… similar to that of nine out of ten “orgasmic gels”, at the very least.

It’s not a bad product. But in the end, if you set aside its pretty bottle, it turns out to be hardly original. And the presence of hemp oil in its composition doesn’t seem to bring much that influences the sensations, or the scent. The whole thing is largely overshadowed by the menthol’s kiss cool effect. In short, it’s mostly a marketing argument.
