The Doxy Plug is an aluminium anal plug, designed by the English brand behind the ultra-powerful vibrators Doxy Die Cast and Doxy Number 3. Despite its relatively modest dimensions, this sextoy looks massive, and its presentation is also worth a look. So we decided to test it.
Here is our review of the Doxy Plug.
Sextoy packaging
The packaging is a small cardboard box, simple and free of unnecessary plastic.
Inside, you’ll find a cylindrical aluminium case containing the plug, barely bigger than the plug itself. It’s compact, and in terms of sturdiness, it’s hard to beat!
The lid of this case closes with a screw thread. On top is the brand’s logo, a capital D. The same logo appears on the inside of the lid, on a thin foam padding, also present at the bottom of the case. The Doxy plug already looks seriously sturdy, but the brand still thought to add precautions so it doesn’t get damaged!
The Doxy anal plug
Simple, but classy, the Doxy plug is made of a single metal block, which is probably hollow, judging by its weight. It’s lighter than the Rosebuds or the Njoy plugs, which are made of solid steel, but heavier than most fake Rosebuds, which are generally hollow. It’s made of aluminium, a lighter material than steel.
Its circular base has a diameter of 3.5 centimetres, which is slightly wider than the widest part of its insertable section. It’s decorated with the brand’s logo, twice: the initial “D” engraved on top, and the word “Doxy” engraved in full on the side. Then comes the insertable part, which consists of a thin stem 2 centimetres long, and an oval section 7 centimetres long. So dimensions comparable to a Rosebuds in terms of diameter, but longer. Four “ridges” decorate the metal surface, on the lower part of this “egg”.

The surface of the Doxy Plug is ultra-smooth; a little lubricant is all it takes, water-based, oil-based or silicone-based, whichever you prefer, to get it in.
The plug is very comfortable. It provides a fullness sensation, a lot more than a Rosebuds. And its weight allows you to really feel its presence, without it being too heavy.

Conclusion on the Doxy plug
The good points:
- This sextoy is a very beautiful object, unbreakable and indestructible.
- Its storage case is ultra-classy, sturdy and practical.
- It’s a plug that’s both comfortable and effective.
The bad points:
- Not really any bad points (if only that the Lovehoney shop, which sent it to us, no longer sells it at the moment).
The Doxy anal plug is a really great metal sextoy, with a classy storage case, practical, sturdy and compact. The quality is definitely up to scratch! On the other hand, the price is a bit on the high side (around fifty euros), but for an erotic object made in the UK, and one you can keep indefinitely.
