The Lelo Tiani 2 is the cousin of the We Vibe. This vibrator, designed for couples and shaped like a âVâ, is worn in the vagina during penetration, and stimulates the clitoris and the G-spot.
Although the principle is the same, it hasnât been implemented in the same way by the two brands.
The Kisskiss.ch shop sent it to us. We will therefore be able to take a closer look at this sex toy, and take the opportunity to compare it with the We Vibe 3.
Appearance of the Lelo Tiani 2
In terms of shape, the Tiani 2 is quite similar to the We Vibe 3, except that its two arms are closer together, and the part intended to be placed inside the vagina is thinner.
On the insertable side, it also has two interchangeable tips, which screw onto the vibrating part in contact with the clit.
We also notice that the We Vibe 3 has ridges on its surface, on the inner side of its two arms, whereas the Lelo Tiani 2 is entirely smooth (apart from slight markings around the metal ring bearing the brandâs logo).
The Tiani 2 is available in fuchsia, black or purple.
Its remote control, larger than the We Vibe 3âs, is a disc that nevertheless fits quite well in the palm of the hand.
Texture and materials
The Lelo Tiani 2 is made of 100% silicone. Certified, tested, and all that, no doubt about it.
However, its texture differs from that of the We Vibe 3, also made of pure silicone. The Tiani 2 has a very soft surface, which does not pick up dust, whereas the We Vibe is smooth but slightly less pleasant to the touch, and tends to pick up a bit of everything floating in the room.

Powering the Lelo Tiani 2
The Tiani 2 is rechargeable, using the same type of charger as other Lelo toys: a fairly standard mains adapter, nothing like the We Vibe 3âs âflying saucerâ magnetic induction charger.
To recharge it, unscrew it and plug the charger into the clitoral part: this is the part that contains the motor and the battery, while the other half is just a piece of soft silicone.
It is sold as being waterproof. Even though it can take a shower without risking a short circuit (and at worst, it is guaranteed for a year, anyway), it seems less perfect in this respect than the We Vibe 3, which doesnât leave even a micro-drop of water any chance of getting in (thanks, precisely, to charging without direct contact), whereas the Tiani 2 still has a hole under its threaded base to plug in the charger.
A trade-off, however: it recharges more quickly. Itâs done in two hours, whereas with the We Vibe 3 you have to wait an eternity.

Its remote control runs on two AAA batteries. It would have been preferable if it were rechargeable as well, but itâs already better than the We-Vibe remote, which is a single unit and in which absolutely nothing can be changed (so when its battery dies, it goes in the bin). That said, weâve had the We-Vibe 3 for more than a year, and its remote is still going.
A plastic piece that serves as a âscrewdriverâ is supplied to unscrew the remote control cover in order to change its batteries, but with the right move, you can manage without a tool.
Controls and modes
With the Tiani 2, you can independently vary the intensity and the vibration mode (whereas with the We Vibe 3 you can only choose the mode).

The remote is fun. Sensitive to movement, it increases and decreases the vibration intensity depending on the movement path you make it follow. Two modes, named âSenseMotionâ, with different behaviours:
- In the first, which is fairly intuitive, you keep the remote horizontal if you donât want any vibrations, and tilt it more or less to adjust the vibration intensity to your liking.
- In the second, you have to spin the remote as fast as possible to increase the vibration intensity. Whatâs the point of this mode? Wrist muscle training? A silly game for long winter evenings? I really donât see it. Itâs very funny, but not really erotic.

We also have six more traditional modes, in which you simply choose the intensity with the â+â and â-â buttons:
- One continuous mode,
- Two modes with regular pulsations, at two different speeds,
- Two modes with power gradients (âwavesâ, âsawtoothâ),
- One mode that appears random.
A button decorated with two arrows âbiting each otherâs tailsâ allows you to select the mode.
This remote is quite responsive; even slight changes in tilt are fairly well detected. Its stated range is 12 metres. After a few tests, we measured a range of about 7 metres with the sex toy in hand. Thatâs already quite good, especially for a vibrator that is meant to be used during penetration â so presumably, youâre not supposed to be far from the device while using it.

You can also turn it on, turn it off and change the mode by pressing directly on the button at the front of the sex toy. But without the remote, you have no control over the vibration intensity, and, of course, no âSenseMotionâ.
Using the Lelo Tiani 2
The Lelo Tiani 2 is therefore used in the same way as the We Vibe 3.
Before starting penetration (I explained to you why âbefore penetrationâ rather than âduring penetrationâ in my We Vibe 3 review, the reasons are the same), you insert its smaller arm into the vagina, while the larger one presses against the clitoris. The device is supposed to stay in place during penetration, possibly with a bit of help if the position doesnât really lend itself to it staying put, or so that it presses harder against the clit.
A slightly disappointing finding: it is less powerful than the We Vibe 3. So I skipped using it solo. The We Vibe 3 was already not very well suited to that, so there was no point in trying with a less powerful version of the same type of device.

The Tiani 2 stays fairly well in place during penetration, even though it still tends to slide a tiny bit more: the ridges on the surface of the We-Vibe probably have a slight âanti-slipâ effect.
Unlike the We-Vibe 3, which is equipped with 2 motors at the end of each of its arms, the Tiani 2 has only one motor, located in the part in contact with the clit: the vibrations that reach the G-spot side come only from the vibrations on the clit side propagating across the entire length of the sextoy: they are therefore greatly diminished.
Although less intense than those provided by the We Vibe 3, the sensations remain satisfying, and still provide a noticeable addition: you can clearly feel the vibrations on the clitoris, and you reach orgasm faster than without the device.
The ability to gradually adjust the vibration intensity with the remote control is a welcome feature: while the classic fancy modes didnât really catch our attention, we did spend a lot of time on the first SenseMotion mode (the one where you tilt the remote control), which we found very playful.
So to sum up, in use: itâs great, but not as good as the We Vibe 3: it turns out to be more playful, but less pleasurable.

Conclusion on the Lelo Tiani 2
Where the Tiani 2 wins:
- The remote: the Tiani 2âs lets you change the vibration intensity as well as the mode, itâs playful and you can replace the batteries.
- The Tiani 2 charges much faster.
- The Tiani 2âs silicone is softer, and doesnât attract dust.
Where the We Vibe 3 wins:
- The We Vibe 3 seems more reliable in terms of waterproofness.
- The We Vibe 3âs vibrations are more powerful and, above all, itâs equipped with two motors that independently stimulate the clitoris and the G-spot, unlike the Tiani 2, which mainly focuses on the clit.
Where theyâre neck and neck, and both do well:
- The look: they donât look alike, but both designs are original and carefully crafted.
- Quality: when it comes to quality, in both cases, the material is safe, the finish and packaging are impeccable, and the battery holds up well: weâre dealing with well thought-out, well made products.
The Tiani 2 is pretty, fun, of good quality and fun to use, but I still prefer the We Vibe 3, for one good and simple reason: the We Vibe 3 is more powerful and comes with two motors, which separately stimulate the clitoris and the G-spot without losing any of the vibrations along the way.
In (very) short: the Tiani 2 is a lovely sextoy, but â at least to my taste â itâs not the best in its category.
But the competition isnât over: the new generation of this curious species is on the way.
As for LELO, the models Ida and Tara, more G-spot-focused, have just been released and seem very promising. As for We Vibe, the fourth of that name, which, at first glance, resembles its predecessors, has already been announced.
