We have received the Njoy Pure Plug. This anal plug made of stainless steel is preceded by its excellent reputation. Positive reviews of it can be found all over the place, and I’ve also had good things said about it in the comments on this blog.
It goes without saying that I was particularly keen to test it. And that my expectations of it are therefore proportional to the quantity of praise I have read about it.
So, little plug, are you living up to the rumours about you? That is what we are going to see in this review.
Sex toy packaging
The Pure Plug case is nearly flawless. In very thick, very sturdy cardboard, it can be kept as a box for storing it.
The inside is lined with pretty pink satin fabric, covering a pad whose shape is complementary to that of the plug. It does not move a millimetre once the box is closed.
The Njoy Pure Plug’s appearance
The plug Njoy is a single, smooth piece of metal. It is more or less cherry-shaped, with a handle at the end of the “stem” – (which is rather unusual for a cherry, admittedly).
The brand logo is engraved on its handle.
The Njoy Pure Plug we received is the one in Small size (the brand also makes it in Medium and Largeversions).
The insertable part has a maximum diameter of 2.5 centimetres in its thickest part, and a length of 6 cm.
In practice, that makes it a fairly small plug. Big enough to be noticeable, but not scary enough to frighten a first-timer, even a fairly shy one, and no risk of getting hurt.
The plug has a total length of 8 cm. Its handle is 5 cm wide and between 0.6 and 1.6 cm thick (depending on where you measure it).
A comparison that might appeal to Rosebuds owners: its insertable part is smaller than that of our Tailbud, a Large-sized Rosebud whose own dimensions are reasonable enough that I use it without hesitation.
Texture and material
The Pure Plug is made of stainless steel. This body-safe material is resistant to impacts and chemical reactions. It is very smooth; no flaws are visible on its surface.
The sex toy is, of course, rigid: it’s steel… It picks up and efficiently transmits the temperature of whatever it touches. So you can quickly cool or warm it as you please by running it under the tap.
It is easy to clean: water and soap are enough for regular use. For neat freaks or those who lend out their sex toys, it can also be boiled.
Using the Njoy Pure Plug
The backdoor’s point of view
The Njoy Pure Plug Small isn’t enormous. It inserts easily provided you’re sufficiently relaxed. But a little lubricant still helps make wearing it more comfortable.
I used the Pjur Back Door , recently tested, silicone-based. Since the sex toy is made of stainless steel, for once there’s no compatibility issue with any type of lubricant: water-based, oil-based, silicone-based or mammoth grease, they all do the trick.
We took turns wearing the Pure Plug. He was initially a bit worried about how hard the object was. But it didn’t turn out to be any bother at all.
It’s worth noting that the plug’s rigidity, combined with the sizeable handle relative to the diameter of the insertable part, prevents any risk of the thing getting accidentally wedged, its base waiting patiently at the entrance of the backdoor.
The shape of the Pure Plug is perfectly suited to the anus. Once in place, its internal position seems perfectly natural, while the handle sits neatly flat against the cheeks.
Foreplay
“Foreplay” is a bit of a rough shorthand for anything that doesn’t include penetration with a penis (even though it can include all sorts of things, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be followed by a more important sexual act). But anyway, in short, I preferred to use the Pure Plug when not wearing it during penis-in-vagina penetration.
First, because it is aesthetically pleasing, and showing it as well as contemplating it seemed particularly pleasurable and sexy to me. (I actually took the opportunity to show it by webcam to strangers – on an adult site devoted to exhibitionism, of course -, and it was fun.
Second, because it is really comfortable and stays in place nicely. It can therefore be worn without issue during all sorts of activities. I particularly like to incorporate it into our BDSM play. It is the person playing the submissive role who wears the plug, of course. I also find it pleasant to wear during cunnilingus or while using a vibrator.
During penetration
When I wear it, the Njoy plug leaves my pussy accessible, and can therefore be combined with “classic” vaginal penetration.
It adds complementary sensations to those provided by my partner’s penis, while remaining quite “discreet” thanks to its small size (having the backside occupied by a sizeable sex toy often interferes with penetration, because, with the two holes being side by side, it leaves too little room in the pussy for the clit to pass through peacefully – with the Small size Pure Plug, that is not the case).
Under the clothes
Under a skirt or a regular pair of trousers, the Pure Plug is absolutely invisible. With really tight trousers, it can sometimes be faintly noticed if you’re paying attention – but then again, you have to know what to look for. And even then, I might just be imagining things.
It doesn’t get in the way when I’m walking. When it comes to sitting down, it’s still comfortable for my little back door, I don’t feel any unpleasant pressure there. My bottom does still notice the presence of its handle, but I have to admit I’ve got a sensitive backside, and I’m not really used to sitting down while wearing a plug – in fact, it’s the only plug that’s felt comfortable enough for me to try.
Conclusion on the Njoy Pure Plug
The good points:
- The Njoy Pure Plug is very pretty, and its presentation is chic, whether in its box or being worn.
- It’s very comfortable and doesn’t get in the way at all when I’m walking.
- And finally, it’s made of stainless steel, is one solid piece, and has no electronic components whatsoever. So there’s little risk of it ever breaking. Unless you lose it, you can be sure to keep it for a very, very long time.
The bad points:
- This isn’t a flaw in itself, but perhaps an even thinner handle might be more comfortable for sitting down. However, I’ve never come across a more comfortable plug, so that’s a lot to ask of the Pure Plug.

In short: the Njoy Pure Plug is pretty, hygienic, safe, very comfortable, and although it’s a little more expensive than other plugs, it will stay in perfect condition for much longer.
Without hesitation, it has my approval, and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a high-quality anal plug.
