As essential accessories in the field of BDSM, restraints come in different forms. So here is a review of the Spartacus Hog-Tie 4-clip bondage restraint.
A BDSM restraint, used to immobilise or restrict movement, has to be comfortable. Otherwise, you’re guaranteed cramps.
For a long time, we’d been wanting to try a quality bondage cross, to spice up (a little more) our frolics.
And that is now a done thing, thanks to the L’Arbre des Plaisirs shop.
Packaging
The whole set is delivered in a sturdy, very discreet cardboard box. The restraint is inside rigid plastic packaging.
Appearance of the Spartacus bondage restraint
The restraint consists of a nickel-plated steel central ring, 6 cm in diameter, to which four leather straps are riveted.
Each strap, 12.5 cm long and 2.5 cm wide, has a fixing clip at its end, of the ‘pressure clip’ type.

A final attention to detail, the ‘smooth’ finish of the rivets on both sides, thus preventing any risk of injury.
It is worth noting that the Spartacus range also includes a ‘D.Ring’ model, which, as its name indicates, has D-shaped rings instead of clips.

Texture and material
No surprises on this side, Spartacus products’ reputation being well established, this restraint is handmade, and the materials used are of very good quality.
So we have leather (unlined) for the straps, which gives the restraint a very pleasant suppleness.
The central ring as well as the clips are nickel-plated steel.
The whole thing is securely held together by reinforced rivets, polished on both sides.
The use of these materials enables record lightness: only 125 grams…
Use of the Spartacus bondage restraint
For this review, we used the handcuffs from the ‘Fifty shades of grey’ kit, which we previously reviewed.
Nothing particularly complicated about using this restraint, the clips being very easy to use.
As a result, many submission positions are possible, the only limit being our imagination.
This type of restraint will therefore, quite naturally, find its place at the heart of a soft bondage set, and will please all users who are keen to discover new horizons.
