Review of the Eros Anal Relaxing Spray

Packaging

The product comes in a 30 millilitre plastic spray bottle (itself packaged in a cardboard carton).

Pretty handy to aim with, so, and it’s not going to drip all over the place.

Taste and smell

A logo on the Eros spray bottle indicates that you shouldn’t spray it in your mouth. I really needed to find out what this thing tastes like, so I did it anyway.

Verdict: it’s really not good (but I can’t say I wasn’t warned). A perfume taste. Not edible.

As for smell, it doesn’t smell bad, nor too strong. I’m having a bit of trouble describing it, as it’s a synthetic fragrance that doesn’t remind me of any food, nor any known flower. The kind of fairly unisex scent that would go well with a neutral soap. I seem to think the smell of Vabelle intimate cleansing and shaving gel was close to it, but I don’t have any at hand to check.

Texture

The Eros spray is liquid. It isn’t greasy. When I spritz some on the back of my hand, it almost completely evaporates after a moment, and once it has evaporated, my hand isn’t sticky, and the few residues rinse off with water.

How to use the Eros anal relaxing spray

The product is applied directly to the relevant area, adding a dose of lubricant afterwards if needed. Spraying yourself on your back door (or having someone else do it) isn’t the most glamorous experience in the world, but let’s not dwell on that detail: if the product works, it can be fun.

Once the back door has been sprayed, it results in a fairly… fresh sensation. But not minty. No numbness: it appears to be a vasodilator, not an anaesthetic. Which is a good thing: erotic products with an anaesthetic effect are not a good idea (except if you want to play with sensory deprivation), because pain is an important signal, and if you ignore it, you risk hurting yourself.

If you do feel a little more relaxed at the back door, which makes penetration easier, the effect isn’t spectacular either. On the first try, the absurdity of the “spray application” stage on all fours with your bottom in the air while reading the instructions had also chilled me out enough that, despite the product, my back door decided not to cooperate, and we had to resign ourselves to scrapping any plans for sodomy this time.

On the second try, we moved more discreetly through the “spritz on the arsehole” phase, and it seemed noticeably more effective to me.

Conclusion about the Eros anal relaxing spray

The Eros anal relaxing spray does indeed relax, but only a little, it’s not a miracle product – and perhaps thank goodness: a product that was too miraculous at that level would have made me a little uneasy.

Eros spray

In short: it in no way replaces foreplay, and it doesn’t let you get things into an anus that couldn’t get in without it, but it still helps a little to relax your arse relax the muscles in the anal area.

For my part, this isn’t a product I would use regularly. For anal penetration, I prefer to just use an effective lubricant (such as the Pjur Back door, for example) and feel turned on.
