We tested the Minds of Love Viper, an ultra-powerful rechargeable clitoral wand-style vibrator.
This sex toy has one feature that sets it apart from other magic wands. Its head vibrates… So far, nothing surprising, but, like a rattlesnake, its “tail” vibrates too.
We’ve already tried sex toys from this brand: a rabbit called Seducer, and the Cloud Orchid, a small vibrator. Both turned out to be quite nice, but not exactly powerhouses when it came to vibration intensity. In that respect, the Viper looks much more serious.
Is this sex toy a worthy competitor to the Fairy or the Magic Wand? That’s what we’re going to find out in this review.
Sex toy packaging
The cardboard box is understated: against a white background, it shows pictures of the sex toy.
Let’s unbox it all.
Appearance of the Minds Of Love Viper
Purple in colour, the Viper is 22 centimetres long, roughly the same length as the Smart Wand Medium. For a clitoral-only sex toy, and therefore a non-penetrative one, size hardly matters when it comes to using it.
But what we’ll remember is that the Viper is portable.

Its oval head and pointed, curved “tail” are covered in wide ridges. In the middle, there’s a silver-coloured plate on one side, and the control buttons on the other.
Texture and materials
The Viper (or at least, the parts of the sex toy that will come into contact with intimate areas) is made of silicone, a durable material that’s body-safe.
The metallic areas (the silver plate and the surround of the control buttons) are made of hard plastic, so they’re phthalate-free too.
Powering the Minds of Love Viper
The Viper is rechargeable, using the supplied cable, which is USB at one end and has a proprietary connector at the sex toy end. This very fine connector plugs into a tiny hole on the vibrator’s handle.
One remarkable detail: the battery life is impressive.
After taking a little break from sex toy reviews, I somewhat “forgot” about the Viper. So it was left abandoned for nearly a year. But when I rediscovered it, to my great surprise, it was still charged and ready to go!
Admittedly, it’s quite rare to leave a sex toy unused for that long, but vibrators that run out of charge on their own after a fortnight without use aren’t that rare, and it’s good to know that a sex toy won’t pull the flat-battery trick on you just when you feel like using it.
It’s not waterproof, just splashproof. And that’s a real shame: you can’t fully submerge it in water to wash it, or use it in the shower or bath.
You’ll notice a slight gap between the silicone and the metallic plate, which covers the opening to the inside of the device. The plate is simply glued on, and the glue has a tendency to give way a little.
Controls on the Minds of Love Viper
The Viper has three buttons on its handle.
The controls are very simple. The middle button turns the vibrator on or off with a long press. Of the other two, one controls the head’s vibrations, and the other controls the sex toy’s tail vibrations. A short press on either button moves on to the next mode.
Vibration modes
The Viper’s head and tail vibrate independently of each other, thanks to its two motors, which have separate controls. You can turn both on at once, or not, as you prefer.
Each end has ten vibration modes, in this order:
- Three constant vibration modes at different intensities (low, medium and high).
- A pulsing mode.
- A “sawtooth” mode: the intensity is high, then gradually decreases, and when it’s at its lowest, it suddenly goes back to high.
- An alternation between two short pulses and one long one.
- Three short pulses, then three increasingly long pulses, and repeat.
- Two short, two long.
- Rapid pulses.
- Three short, two long
As with most other vibrators, the “fancy” modes are fun, sure, but constant modes are still the most effective for clitoral stimulation. Once I reach the “strong vibrations” mode, I leave the controls alone.
How effective is the Minds Of Love Viper?
With the “head” pressed against my clitoris and set to its strongest constant vibration mode, the Viper brings me to orgasm fairly quickly. In terms of intensity, it’s not on a par with ultra-powerful corded vibrators such as the Fairy, the Europe Magic Wand or the Body Wand, but it still holds its own very well. Its power is in the same ballpark as the Smart Wand Medium.

In short: for me, orgasm pretty much guaranteed in under three minutes.
As for the sex toy’s “tail” vibrations, well…. I admit I don’t really know what to do with them.
Because of the metallic plate on its handle and the fact that it’s not waterproof, the Viper is not insertable. So that rules out any potential internal use.
The tail vibrates less strongly than the head and, being thinner, it’s less effective at targeting the clit. Personally, I prefer a vibrator that’s also able to stimulate the area around it a little. In short, I don’t really see the point of using it rather than the sex toy’s head. When you’re on your own, there’s no way to use both ends at once, so unless there are two of you and you each use one end, which doesn’t seem very practical, I don’t really see…
Conclusion on the Minds of Love Viper
The good points:
- Its vibrations are powerful enough to bring you to clitoral orgasm without having to work at it.
- The material it’s made from (silicone) is body-safe.
- It’s not too bulky, so it’s easy to carry around.
- The “tail”, which vibrates independently of the head, adds a fun little extra…
The bad points:
- … But I don’t see much potential use for that famous vibrating tail.
- It’s not waterproof, just splashproof.
- The metallic plate tends to come unstuck a little.
Despite a few flaws, the Minds of Love Viper is an effective rechargeable wand-style clitoral vibrator, at a still-reasonable price (around 65 euros).
With no budget considerations, if you asked me which is the best sex toy between the Viper and its closest competitor, the Lelo Smart Wand, I’d choose the Smart Wand without hesitation. But the price difference is significant (especially as Lelo seems to have gone mad with prices lately, even increasing the cost of their old models), and the Viper is a decent vibrator that’s kinder on the wallet.
Now, if the size of the sex toy isn’t a top priority for you, for the same price I’d recommend going for the classic Fairy Lithium instead. It may not vibrate with its tail or have fancy modes, but it has an ultra-intuitive control dial and, above all, explosive power.
