It’s been ages since I discovered a new realistic phallic dildo. The Tantus Gary O2 is the latest candidate in my sex toy box.
The little brother of the Max O2 by Tantus, a large realistic dildo with tiny nubs, Gary, longer but a little less thick, is, too, a silicone sex toy with a density that varies by zone. Firm at the base and centre, soft on the outside.
While the Marseille expression “oh garri !”, not exactly steeped in sexiness, tends to come to mind when hearing this name, it should be known that in English, according to Urban Dictionary, “gary” is a colloquial term for a more or less ideal, sexy, funny, thoughtful, skilled-in-bed man, in short, one endowed with numerous qualities. It’s also the name of SpongeBob’s snail, but I’m digressing.
At 21 centimetres, Gary is above all a very long penis. Here’s the review of this sex toy, thanks to the Kisskiss.ch shop.

The Gary O2’s packaging, made of thin cardboard and clear plastic, is disposable. Not ugly, but not something to linger over.

Appearance: a realistic dildo
The Tantus Gary O2 therefore resembles a very long phallus.
A little too long to be real, actually: 21 centimetres, of which 20 are “insertable” (well, “insertable”, for anyone capable of taking 20 centimetres), which is humanly possible, but nevertheless rather rare.
But its four centimetres in width (more precisely, we measured between 3.8 and 3.9 cm) remain credible for a rather large willy.
Its base measures 6.5 cm in diameter and 1 cm in thickness.
It is veiny, but not too much, like a “normal” penis. It is uncircumcised, and has pronounced folds in the foreskin area. Far more subtle little wrinkles help give the glans a very realistic texture, and the urethral opening is depicted as a small vertical slit.
The glans may be a tad long… But, again, there’s no need to cry monster if one saw a human sporting a similar organ.
As for visual realism, it’s really not bad, so… But not as much as Jason, the Fleshjack dildo modelled on the penis of gay porn star Jason Visconti, which we had the chance to review.

The Tantus Gary O2 is a flesh colour. But as not all skin tones are identical, there are three different versions: pale (“cream”), darker (“mocha”), and black (“cacao”). We received the mocha colour.
Texture and material: a double-density silicone sex toy
The Gary O2 is, like all the other Tantus dildos, made of 100% medical-grade silicone.
The use of this non-porous, body-safe material is worth highlighting. Indeed, in order to achieve a “credible” look and texture at a lower cost, the majority of realistic sex toys favour toxic materials, often phthalate-based. Or at least dubious, and always porous. As well as an unpleasant plastic smell, they can therefore never be perfectly disinfected, because bacteria can hide in the pores.
Gary is completely odourless. It is compatible with water-based lubricants, and even with certain silicone lubricants like those from the Pjur brand. It does not degrade over time, and you can even boil it if you want to sterilise it.
The silicone making up the Gary O2 has a special feature: its double density. As I told you in the introduction to this review, its core and base are firm, allowing it to maintain a proud erection while remaining as flexible as you like, while its outer layer is plush and soft, accentuating the “skin” effect and increasing the resemblance to a real penis.
This texture, although wonderfully credible, is not as breathtakingly realistic as that of the Vixskin sex toys by Vixen Creation. But there is a tad more softness, a little “peach skin” feel (or rather cock skin?), very pleasant to the touch.
Using the dildo
Fitted with a wide, flat and fairly thin base, the Gary O2 by Tantus can be used for both vaginal and anal penetration, provided you feel up for 4 centimetres of diameter. It can also be fixed in a harness fitted with a ring. For my part, the four centimetres having daunted me a bit, I settled for vaginal use.
First step: don’t skimp on lubricant. On the one hand, because the Gary O2 is wide and quite textured with its various reliefs and “veins”, some is needed to facilitate insertion. On the other hand, because once made slippery, the “real penis” illusion is at its peak.
Its resemblance to a penis?
Like the Max O2‘s, Gary’s completely squishy glans is convincing. And it is combined with its firm core, which gives it a solid erection. In terms of sensations, this dildo is truly very close to a real penis, in shape and in a cheerful mood. Its use is very pleasant, and it superbly fulfils its functions: passing itself off, to the eye, to the touch, and in penetration, as a big cock.
Would it be easy to tell real from silicone in a hypothetical blind test “Gary or penis”? (Let’s note that such a test would require having enough penises and sex toys to sow confusion, which would nevertheless make for quite an orgy.)
Gary is extremely realistic in terms of sensations; however, it does not reach the breathtaking realism threshold of the Goodfella. It is not far off, however; a few slight details might perhaps betray it, such as the foreskin folds, which are less supple than skin. But making the distinction with certainty would probably be a challenge.
Conclusion on the Tantus Gary O2
The good points:
- The Tantus Gary O2 has a very realistic texture with its double density.
- Its appearance is also very well done.
- All in a safe and durable material, silicone.
- It can be worn in a harness.
The bad points:
- Visually, it is not as true to nature as a Fleshjack. And in terms of texture, it is not as realistic as the Goodfella.
The Gary O2 is perhaps not THE most perfect realistic dildo of all time, and in that regard, I still prefer Vixen Creation toys such as the Goodfella.
But it remains one of the most realistic silicone dildos I have had the chance to review, both in terms of look and sensations. A very good sex toy, which I recommend without hesitation.
