I was keen to try a harness. Elle‘s reviews of the Bella and the Tomboi by SpareParts Hardwear had made me want one, so I wanted to test the Sasha harness, from the same brand.
Like the Bella and the Tomboi, the Sasha is a harness styled like underwear: it has no adjustable straps and slips on like a pair of panties.
Here is a test of the SpareParts Sasha harness, courtesy of the Body House shop.
Packaging
I have to admit that when I received the harness, I was surprised by the packaging. The harness is presented in a black box; it’s understated and quite chic.
Inside, you find the harness, but also a sturdy pouch (apparently made from the same material as the harness) that fastens with a zip and buttons, enough to keep the Sasha well protected.

You also find a mesh laundry bag to protect the harness when machine washing, as well as garter clips, if you want to play up the feminine side.

The harness
The Sasha is made of nylon spandex. I wasn’t necessarily expecting something so thick; it feels like swimwear. You can tell you’re holding something solid and well made.
I was a bit worried about the rather feminine look of the Sasha, whether for my partner or for myself; it’s not necessarily our cup of tea, but it turns out that it resembles a fairly versatile piece of underwear, which I think will suit different types of women.
The harness includes two small pockets inside, for sliding in a clitoral stimulator for either partner. It’s not necessarily something I feel like adding, but I think it’s a rather good idea nonetheless.

The Sasha is worn like a piece of underwear, so it’s important to wash it before first use. It can be machine-washed on a delicate cycle or hand-washed. Personally, I preferred to air-dry it.
Use
First try
I have to admit I was eager to try it when I received it, so I tried it on, outside of any sexual context (but after a first wash, of course). I was pleasantly surprised; I felt as though I was slipping on a standard piece of underwear, and it was completely comfortable.

As the “receiver”
For our first use in context, I was on the “receiver” side, and I didn’t necessarily expect to have much to say for myself.
Huge mistake! My partner was won over by the test, and I have to say I was, too. I was much closer to her skin than with a standard harness, which allowed more freedom in terms of penetration or rubbing. A very pleasant experience, then.
Wearing the harness
Of course, I didn’t stop there; I tested the harness by wearing it myself. As I said earlier, it’s really very comfortable. It slips on like a pair of panties, so no time wasted tightening straps, and above all, no discomfort. No more straps digging into your bum or sitting uncomfortably on the skin. That in itself is already a big plus.
To put the dildo in is very simple, too. You slide it through the ring (the “O-ring”) and that’s it. Any dildo with a flat base should be fine, with a diameter between 3 and 5 centimetres or so. In our case, we tested it with a Fun Factory Magnum.
We had chosen a size M, which according to the measurements should suit both of us. In the end, it’s a very good fit for my partner, and a tad too loose for me. Nothing dramatic, the dildo stays well in place, but it sits less snugly against me, and I don’t necessarily feel it much against my clitoris depending on position. But it remains a minor issue.

In terms of use, it’s much smoother than the type of harness I’ve used so far. You feel and control your movements much better, and the dildo follows straight away. And above all, you’re really skin-to-skin, with no leather separating you. And as it turns out, it changes everything! This allows, for example, deeper penetration, or much more subtle and precise types of movement.
I was worried that wearing “underwear” in such a context would frustrate me a little, but in fact it didn’t at all. You really feel as though you’re naked; you don’t feel it at all. And above all, the material is really well thought out; no overheating or sweating, whatever you’re doing, which is really welcome.
I was also really interested in this type of harness for another use. I own a Share by Fun Factory, a strap-on without a belt that I like a lot, but which has a certain tendency to slip out in certain circumstances. So I wanted to see whether the Sasha allowed better staying power.
To put it in the harness is very simple, too: you pass the shortest part through the O-ring, before inserting it into the vagina, and you’re ready! Well, it changes everything; it holds in place well and allows a great deal of freedom of movement.

Conclusion about the SpareParts Sasha harness
The strengths:
- It is very comfortable. Its look can suit different styles.
- It follows the body and therefore the dildo very closely, and both partners can feel it.
- It is of very good quality.
The weaknesses:
- You need to be precise about the size and not tend to fluctuate in weight.
- A female couple whose body shapes differ will not be able to use the same harness.
In conclusion, in one word or a hundred, I love the Sasha! I can’t compare it to the other harnesses by SpareParts, but I know that from now on I will only use this type of harness. Leather harnesses with straps will end up relegated to the back of a cupboard.
