The We Vibe Moxie is a connected vibrator fitted with a magnet, which allows it to stay in place, clipped into your panties at the clitoris.

The look of the We Vibe Moxie
The Moxie is a tiny sex toy, in turquoise. It consists of three parts:
- Its vibrating part, which you’ll place in a pair of panties, at the front, at the clitoris.
- Its magnet, to be placed on the outside of the panties, and which will adhere to the sex toy through the fabric, to keep it in place. A spare magnet is also included, which can prove really handy if you lose this little essential accessory.
- And finally, its remote control, which you can use, or not, if you have a smartphone.
Texture and materials
The We Vibe Moxie and its magnet are covered in silicone. They are rigid, but their surface is smooth.
The remote control, on the other hand, is made of plastic.
Powering the We Vibe Moxie
The We Vibe Moxie recharges via a USB cable. The cable has a magnetic proprietary connector, which attaches to two metallic bumps on the sex toy.
Controls and modes
The Moxie has 10 vibration modes, one constant and 9 patterned. All are adjustable in intensity.
With the remote control
The remote control is used to operate the sex toy at short range. The stated range is 9 metres, “legs uncrossed and under ideal conditions”. We didn’t measure, but in any case, from a few metres away, the communication between the toy and its remote control works without a hitch, regardless of position.
Its operation is simple and intuitive. Two vertical arrows adjust the intensity of the vibrations, and two horizontal arrows are used to select the vibration mode.
One small drawback: if you’re holding the remote control while someone else is wearing the vibrator, unless you’ve memorised the sequence of modes and the number of button presses, you’ll quickly find yourself no longer knowing which one you’re on.
With a smartphone
The We Vibe Moxie is a connected sex toy. That is to say, it is primarily designed to be controlled from a smartphone.
The app that allows you to control the Moxie via a smartphone is called We-Connect. It’s the same one for all We-Vibe connected sex toys. It can be downloaded for free from Google Play or the App Store.
It prohibits screenshots, presumably for privacy reasons. Indeed, in 2017, the brand had to pay its customers a $4 million Canadian indemnity, for having collected personal data without informing users, with its connected sex toy the We Vibe 4 Plus.
So I won’t be able to show you what it looks like. But I’ll try to describe a bit of all this.
Controlling the We Vibe Moxie with We-Connect
The app allows you to control the sex toy, if you’re the person wearing it, or if you’re nearby. But you can also hand over the controls to a remote partner.
The invitation is done by sending a secure link (not SMS, hangout or email, for example). You can only have one partner at a time. Once the invitation is accepted, the person remains registered in the app, and won’t need a new invitation to take back control of the device.
However, you’ll both need to have We-Connect open, and you’ll need to accept its request to take control of the sex toy, by clicking a button.
The app allows you to adjust the vibration mode and its intensity, with a graph that lets you clearly visualise the changes. It’s quite well done. There’s also a “Touch” mode, where you control the vibrations by moving your finger across the screen, but the gesture is not very intuitive, and there’s some lag, which makes this mode rather uninteresting.
You can also send each other messages, photos, and communicate via video chat.
The sex toy also allows you to record custom vibration patterns. However, the app tends to crash a bit too often for my liking when you’re creating them, or when you want to use them.
The effectiveness of the We Vibe Moxie
The Moxie stays perfectly in place on the panties thanks to its magnet, and stays right on the clit. But the pressure of the sex toy on the clitoris remains less firm than if you were holding it by hand.
If it vibrates fairly strongly, with vibrations that penetrate deep, don’t expect instant orgasms either. It’s a sex toy for building up arousal, gradually. But it remains much more effective than its older competitor, the OhMiBod BlueMotion. The vibrations are stronger, the sex toy is in closer contact with the clit, and its slightly plush texture is more pleasant.
As a couple, you can play with the surprise effect, by triggering or increasing the vibrations at the moment the other person least expects it, or with frustration, by only giving vibrations as a well-earned reward.
It’s a toy that can also find a prime spot in a long-distance relationship. It allows you to maintain physical contact with the other person, and to give them pleasure, despite the miles. And the chat features built into the app being quite well put together, you can communicate easily while sharing sensations.
Conclusion on the We Vibe Moxie
The good points:

The We Vibe Moxie is a really lovely wearable connected vibrator for panties.
On the hardware side, it vibrates strongly, and it stays well in place against the clit. And on the functionality side, the sex toy is responsive to the remote control and the app, without excessive lag. Without a paid feature making the sex toy almost useless if you don’t buy it as an add-on. Without having to tinker to get it working.
In short, overall, everything works well. This may seem like the least of things, but it’s not the case with all connected vibrators. Until now, only the We Vibe 4 Plus and the Lush by Lovense were worth saying that about.
