While looking to discover some unusual new sex toys, I came across the official Zumio X website, which immediately sparked my curiosity… As well as a certain dose of scepticism.
Indeed, this clitoral stimulator, the size of a large pen, with a strange ball-tipped point as its stimulating tip, the “SpiroTIP” (which some shops translate as “SpiroPoint”), promises us a new way to masturbate, providing “a variety of new and wonderful sensations”. No less.
The brand also states that the Zumio X was invented and designed by women. Which is a good point in itself. Indeed, to create a new type of clitoral vibrator, it’s essential to know precisely what types of stimulation a clitoris enjoys, and for that, the most obvious method is to be yourself equipped with a clitoris to experiment on.
However, it insists on this in a suspicious manner, going so far as to specify that this sex toy stems from the idea of a single mother who was looking to reach orgasm in less than a minute. Was this THE famous single mother mentioned in all those spam ads, inventor of the miracle method for whitening teeth while losing 10 kilos and making money from home?
So, this Zumio, a revolutionary sex toy ready to send your clitoris wild, or bollocks? I needed to know for sure. And for that, only one solution: to have it in my hands (and elsewhere).
So I promptly got in touch with the Zumio brand, hoping to get a sample to test. A very nice lady replied favourably right away.
Here is our review of the Zumio X.
Zumio X Packaging
The Zumio comes in a solid cardboard box, cushioned by compact foam. A storage case in white satin is also included.
Zumio X SpiroTIP Appearance
Without setting any beauty records, the Zumio isn’t ugly, and is rather discreet.
With its very fine point, topped with a ball at its tip, it doesn’t resemble any other known sex toy. In fact, it looks like a large purple pen. Or perhaps an electric toothbrush with a slightly odd attachment.
Texture and Materials
The Zumio X is entirely made of rigid ABS plastic. Even its tip (the famous “SpiroTIP”), to my great surprise.
I expected it to be made of a soft and plush material, like silicone. But no, absolutely not. In fact, it’s a thin hard rod, with, at its tip, a small ball, just as firm.
Despite its rigidity, when the sex toy is in operation, this rod oscillates at a dizzying speed, tilting slightly. This is probably due to the fineness of its diameter.
Zumio X Power Supply
The Zumio recharges by placing it on its base, which plugs into a USB port. It’s a shame that no adapter is included. However, this base has a rather nice look.
The battery seemed to last an awful long time. I don’t know exactly how long. Given that you don’t need a very long session to fill up on orgasms, to determine this precisely, I would have needed to arm myself with a stopwatch and a notepad to record each duration to add up, and that would have somewhat spoiled the pleasure. In any case, you can expect a good number of uses without having to recharge the thing.
Controls and Modes
As for controls, nothing to complain about: it’s simple, intuitive, and the buttons are raised, with well-defined distinct shapes that allow you to find them by touch. A circular button turns the vibrator on and off, while an infinity symbol serves as the power adjuster. One of its branches increases the intensity of the oscillations, while the other decreases it.
There are eight intensity levels, all constant.
Zumio X Principle
The Zumio’s rigid rod doesn’t vibrate, but oscillates: the tip of its “SiproPoint” draws very small circles at a speed that varies according to the intensity level chosen. This ranges from “very fast” at minimum power (where the rod is already going too fast for you to clearly distinguish its trajectory) to mega-super-ultra-fast when you reach the eighth level.
The aim is to provide a localised, targeted stimulation on the exact spot you wish to reach.
Noise Level
Without being completely silent, the Zumio’s noise level remains reasonable. The slight hum it emits varies according to the movements of the sex toy’s tip – it’s a bit like someone doing DIY in the distance.

Zumio X Effectiveness
The “recipe” for using the Zumio suggested on its official website recommends starting with peripheral stimulation of the entire vulva, using the tip and rod of the sex toy, to “warm up”, then gradually moving closer to the clitoris area, and finally, once you feel ready, applying the oscillating tip directly on the clitoris.
Preliminary Lubrication
I was a bit anxious at the idea of letting this rigid plastic tip, oscillating at full speed and resembling a Dremel a little too much to my taste, approach my pussy. I eventually gave in, not without pouring a generous amount of lubricant.
Let’s note beforehand that without lubricant, it’s not really worth trying: there’s too much friction and it becomes uncomfortable, even painful.
Application on the Entire Vulva
As for the peripheral application on the entire vulva, well… To be honest, it tends to tickle me rather than excite me, and I’m not a tickle fetishist.
Around the Clitoris
But things get interesting when the sex toy’s tip approaches the clit. On the first attempts, it’s somewhat frightening. Looking at it in a photo, it doesn’t seem so, but even at minimum intensity, this thing vibrates – or rather, oscillates like hell, with a power that, to the touch, seems able to challenge the most powerful of vibrators, like the Europe Magic Wand, the Doxy or the Fairy Turbo. I’m not too sure what it’s like in terms of frequencies and amplitudes, or whether you can find a suitable comparison scale given that it’s not the same type of movements.
If the tip of the rod spins in circles like crazy, it’s interesting to note that, in the hand holding the sex toy, you feel almost no vibration – whereas with “classic” vibrators, and even more so with the ultra-powerful ones, you very quickly end up with a numb hand.
Slightly worried about the risk of irritating my clit, I first cautiously tried applying the Zumio tip on my clitoral hood, so that the vibrations would be transmitted through it. Result: an orgasm within the minute that followed.
The sensations are difficult to describe. It’s localised, extremely targeted, very different from what you feel with an ultra-powerful “classic” wide-headed vibrator, but it’s also very different from the sensations provided by a suction vibrator or Lelo’s Sona. It’s pleasant, and rather intense.
Directly on the Clitoris
I then decided to apply the Zumio tip directly on my clitoris, after slathering it with a good extra dose of lubricant. I tried various configurations: the technique I prefer is to place the small ball of the sex toy against the top of my clit, after slightly sliding it under the hood. The orgasm is thus very rapid, and the sensations are of a formidable intensity. It’s rather strange: you can feel it could almost be unpleasant, but it’s pleasant.
If I had to choose: I keep my preference for ultra-powerful “classic” clitoral vibrators, there’s a more “satisfying” aspect to stimulating a wider area. And I don’t think the Zumio is a sex toy truly suited for playing with a partner: managing to find the right timing and the right zone to stimulate on someone other than yourself is a matter of luck or an exploit. However, alternating with this new type of stimulation constitutes an extremely pleasurable variation.
Conclusion on the Zumio X
The good points:
- The Zumio X is effective: it triggers orgasms in an extremely short time, with astonishing power.
- It provides a new type of sensations, intense and delicious.
- Its controls are intuitive and well designed.
- It is small, and quiet.
The bad points:
- Its retail price is rather high. In France, it costs around 150 euros, which remains a fairly significant cost for a sex toy.
- It is not very practical for use with a partner.
Note finale du test
Les plus
- New type of sensations
- Multiple orgasms delivered
- Intuitive controls
- Compact
- Quiet
Les moins
- Rather high price
- Not very suited for use with a partner
If you’re looking for broad, gentle caresses, the Zumio X is clearly not a sex toy for you. But if you love strong sensations with mind-blowing vibrations, and if you’re a fan of targeted clitoral stimulation (Womanizer style), you’ll probably be won over by the new-type sensations it provides.
