I don’t like erotic stories.
Or rather, I don’t like run-of-the-mill erotic texts like “Gégé and Ginette doing obscene things”.
The erotic stories of Gégé and Ginette
Among these literary masterpieces the web is riddled with, two types stand out:
Type 1 : Gégé and Ginette describe their fluid exchanges in a mechanical, standardised tone.
Probably meant for their gynaecologist to analyse it all.
You get stuff like: “Noting Ginette’s arousal, Gégé inserted a finger into her vagina. Then two, then three, making rapid in-and-out movements.”.
It’s cold, dull, standardised: the effect on the reader is comparable to studying the instructions on a box of ravioli.
Type 2 : Gégé is very rude to Ginette.
He’s actually writing the account from the holding cell he ended up in after knocking his partner out with an XXL-sized steel plug.
You get stuff like: “Seeing that Ginette was wet as a bitch, Gégé pushed a finger into this slut’s big cunt. Then two, then three, then the hand, then the elbow, because she liked being banged through all her holes.”.
Often used as descriptions of porn videos or sets of porn photos in order to whet the appetite, the effect of this kind of story is comparable to finding a dead cockroach in the previously mentioned box of ravioli.
Erotic stories: a few internet gems
Fortunately, in the byways of the internet, you also find gems. Constructed scenarios, skillfully chosen words, carefully crafted details to bring just the right amount of realism and just the right amount of eroticism, unexpected, amusing or unsettling endings… In short, stories with real pieces of soul in them.
After a perilous expedition through the blogosphere, I’ve selected a few of these treasures for you.
The Sperm Hunter on Queue du bonheur
Don’t be fooled by its title, this story is a pure gem. Alexandre Silenus isn’t merely telling a simple erotic story here; he is creating a universe, heavily inspired by science fiction references (or at least one that gives that impression), in which he embeds the erotic scene, described with real brilliance. I’d gladly tell you more, but I wouldn’t want to spoil it. Go and read it now!
The Butterfly Effect on Queue du bonheur
A story published on the same blog as the previous one (yes, I’m a bit of a fan), but in a completely different tone. Again set in a brilliantly crafted context, but this time tinged with an incredible realism, with a myriad of tiny details highlighted by the narrator, images and asides that lend it its sensitivity and strong personality.
Sunday evening on Le monde a le droit de savoir
In her blog, a collection of short stories and moods written in a light and imaginative style, Sand la Blonde tells us this story with its somewhat jaded male narrator, whose character is carefully crafted and perfectly conveyed throughout the narrative, and with its unexpected twist.
Hotel and Crime scene on Duo Sur Canapé
One couple, one scenario, two versions. In this very new blog with two voices, Clyde Barreau and Bonnie Parcoeur present us with a concept that delivers more than interesting results.
Marble on Du sang, du sexe et du lait maternel
In this memoir blog (not only about sex, but all very pleasant to read), with a simple, poetic and unselfconscious tone, this sensual and moving account recounts an encounter that left a mark on the author.
I’ll leave you to savour them… Happy reading!
